Dear VMA Members,
As Secretary of the VMA Board, I am pleased to announce that we are now formally calling for nominations for four pending vacant positions on the VMA Board. This year three (3) vacancies must be filled from the “Active” member category, and one (1) must be filled from the Allied Category.
After their valuable service to the Association and in accordance with the VMA’s Constitution, the following Board Directors will retire/resign in May 2026, or have recently retired from the Board:
Nominations open on Thursday, 26th March 2026 and close on Thursday, 16th April 2026 at 5:00 PM AEST.
Through their Strategic Planning process the VMA Board has identified a number of areas where additional skills and experience at Board level would be desirable, and are encouraging any members that have experience in any of the following areas to consider putting their hand up to help guide our great Association:
The Venue Management Association is committed to inclusion, equity and diversity, and in ensuring we make our industry welcoming, safe and inclusive for everyone. We are actively seeking a diverse Board of Directors and define diversity as: the combination of the visible and invisible differences that shape our perspective and our approach and make us who we are. We strongly encourage gender diversity and also seek candidates to nominate for the Board who are from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander persons, identify as LGBTIQ+ or who have a disability.
