The USI (Ungerboeck) Year 1 Student Bursary was introduced for the first time in 2005. The Bursary covers fees and travel costs for completion of VMS Year 2 up to the value of AUD$4,000
The VMS USI (Ungerboeck) Bursary provides for the full student fees covering Year 2 of the VMS course. It is awarded to the student who achieves the highest academic score for the test at the conclusion of Year 1. The Bursary award can only be used for a consecutive Year 2 attendance. It cannot be used if the student chooses to defer.
The Bursary, sponsored by the Software Company USI (Ungerboeck) has been developed in association between USI (Ungerboeck) and the VMS Management Committee.

This highly sought after industry scholarship is awarded each year to one student who successfully completes the two years of study at the VMS, and further demonstrates achievement in a range of assessment criteria. The Scholarship has been awarded to the leading graduate from the VMS each year since its inception and valued at approximately AUD$10,000 per annum.
The Scholarship winner receives enrolment in the IAVM-VMS Graduate Institute at Oglebay, USA, and will also be entitled to make at least one venue visit in another city during the trip. All travel and Graduate Institute fees will be covered by the Scholarship. AEG Ogden assists in the arrangements for the venue visit.
The successful student is selected on a range of criteria including outstanding academic achievement and application at the VMS, continuing a commitment to the venue management industry, communication, teamwork and professional leadership skill. The VMA Board would like to particularly thank AEG Ogden for sponsoring the VMS Scholarship for the past 22 years
